After Care

Thanks for choosing FMCM! Please follow these key steps to keep your machine running smoothly:

๐Ÿ”‘  Important: Soak Your Water Filter First

Always soak the water filter in fresh water for 20โ€“30 minutes before placing it in the tank.

Soaking it outside the tank is essential.

If you place a dry filter into the tank and fill it with water, the seal prevents water from reaching the filterโ€”leaving it dry.

This puts excessive strain on the pump and can cause damage.

โœ… If Your Repair Included a Service:

Your machine is ready to use immediately.

Just make sure your soaked water filter is fitted before brewing.

โš ๏ธ If Your Repair Did Not Include a Service:

Before brewing, we recommend running a descale and clean cycle.

If the fault was due to limescale, increase descaling frequency for better longevity.

๐Ÿ’ก Note for Oracle, Oracle Touch & Dual Boiler Owners:

Descaling at home on these models can be risky.

If the small pump doesnโ€™t activate or internal probes are contaminated, a descale can blow the thermal fuse, requiring the boiler to be removed for repair.

Please proceed with cautionโ€”weโ€™re unable to take responsibility for damage caused by incorrect descaling.

๐Ÿ”„ Ongoing Maintenance:

  • Descale and clean every 6โ€“8 weeks, or more often in hard water areas like Bristol.
  • Recommended products:

๐Ÿ”ง For Dual Boiler, Oracle & Oracle Touch machines:

Please refer to your ownerโ€™s manual before descaling.

These models require extra care when running a descale and may be prone to damage if not done correctly.

๐Ÿ’ง Water Filter Use:

  • Always use a filterโ€”even with pre-filtered water, as some minerals remain.
  • Replace 2โ€“3 times a year:
    • Use This Sage Water Filter for MOST Sage Coffee Machine Models
    • Or in the rare case that your machine uses the much smaller filters that look like small pods made out of filter paper; you can find these online with retailers like Amazon or eBay
