Shipping Your Machine

We understand that you might feel cautious when sending your machine by post, and while we don’t take responsibility for the machine during transit, here are our top tips to ensure you package your machine to protect it as much as you can during transit.

We fully recommend choosing a courier you trust and paying a little extra to ensure it is insured during transit. Some couriers have a list of prohibited items they won’t ship, please ensure you read this list thoroughly as coffee machines are included in this sometimes. We recommend UPS which accepts coffee machines and offers additional insurance to cover the machine during transit.

Here are true photos of some interesting packaging choices made by our customers, and while these machines did miraculously arrive undamaged, we have experienced the odd machine in the past that wasn’t so lucky.

What not to do:

What to do:
1) The box: The original box with the polystyrene inserts would be ideal as they fit snuggly around the machine and reduce any movement inside.
If you don’t have these, we would recommend finding the best fit sturdy cardboard box (typically a box of 35 x 40 x 40cm would be perfect).
Ensure you protect the machine from scratches by wrapping the 3 pin plug in additional bubble wrap.

2) Bubble wrap: To protect the whole machine we advise you use a good quality bubble wrap surrounding the whole machine (we like this one), enough to fully encase the machine twice.

If your box still has gaps after placing the wrapped machine inside, please pack these out to ensure no movement when the box is moved.

3) Secure with tape, we like this fragile tape. Please also include a return address and name inside the box and written on the exterior also.
